Organic beef, pork, and poultry are rapidly gaining in popularity, despite their significantly higher costs. The reasons are numerous; health issues, animal welfare, and environmental concerns top the list. Organic meat is raised without growth hormones, antibiotics, or animal byproducts in feed. Factory farms breed disease, encourage physical impairments, and generally do not place a great deal of value on animal welfare.
By contrast, smaller organic farms tend to provide better care for their animals than larger industrial operations. Animals are provided access to outdoor pens or pasture rather than confined to cramped feedlots. The resulting naturally-raised meats are often healthier; organic grass-fed beef, for example, contains higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and omega-3 fatty acids.

All our chickens are free range raised on grasses with a non-medicated grain for protein Our Burbonred turkeys are a Heritage pure breed. And our ducks are White Perkin. As with all of our poultry they are hormone and antibiotic free and get lots of sunshine and space to roam around they get to forage and get a high protein supplement feed. Our laying hens have the same care as our meat birds and the same feed we also mix in a little a hen scratch to give them a little more to scratch around at helping to keep them happy and producing good quality eggs. We are as organic as we can it get for now is hard to find certified organic grains or feeds around here so we do the best we can.
